Multiscale Evaluation of Asphalt Aging Behaviour: A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

The performance of asphalt pavement will deteriorate gradually due to oxidation, also named the ageing binders. In this study, research progress on multiscale evaluation aging behaviour in past decade was reviewed further analyse evolution law and determine mechanism. Firstly, artificial methods were introduced, factors affecting analysed, changes properties before after identified. Secondly, terms degrees summarised from macro-, mesoscopic-, micro-, nanoscales. Finally, considering extensively studied rheological as an example, correlations among process conventional physical properties, chemical composition, microscopic nano-molecular dynamics, other parameters analysed. results show that various scales are interrelated, can provide a more comprehensive prediction extent aging. correlation between multiple enables thorough analysis mechanism at scales.

A review on nutrition and skin aging

Background: Skin reflects the general health status and is not an exception in the process of aging. Intervention studies indicate that it is possible to delay skin aging and improve skin conditions through diet-based anti-aging strategies. The purpose of the current work was to review recent existing literature regarding the role of nutrition, for and against skin aging processes.Method: This ...

Macroscopic constitutive law for Mastic Asphalt Mixtures from multiscale modeling

A well established framework of an uncoupled hierarchical modeling approach is adopted here for the prediction of macroscopic material parameters of the Generalized Leonov (GL) constitutive model intended for the analysis of flexible pavements at both moderate and elevated temperature regimes. To that end, a recently introduced concept of a statistically equivalent periodic unit cell (SEPUC) is...
